DNN, the company formerly known as DotNetNuke Corp, changed their logo and product names a couple weeks ago. Always our inspiration, we decided to make a change ourselves. Here's what it means to us.
We love Chicago and everything about it. Our previous website look was very plain. So we spruced it up with our world-famous Chicago skyline. Thanks to Daniel Schwen for a beautiful photo.
What other thing about Chicago is world-famous? Chicago Style Pizza! We were kicking around a pizza-theme logo for awhile, in fact. Again, we were inspired by our DNN Community. The Southern-Fried DNN conference got us hungry, er, thinking of our own conference, and Chicago Style DNN was born from that effort. While a fall local conference was stopped so we can all head to Florida for DNNCon, the logo idea remained, and grew.
The previous DNN Logo, ingrained in the community for many years, was such a perfect image to represent the "pizza" in our logo that we stayed with it, even if DNN Corp. didn't. Besides, what goes with plaid?
