Growing up in a Chicago neighborhood, the general rule was "come home when the street lights go on."
Maximize your outside time this Wednesday, then come in and get online. We'll have our August meeting online starting later than usual. This time it's at 8:00 pm.
On tap:
Jim Nagy gives his report on the latest news of the DNN community in general. He'll talk about our own User Group, then switch to what's happening at DNN Corporation.
Don Gingold will review the webinar from the previous day, in light of the numerous prior discussion our group has had about the topic. Will Morgenwick will create a DNN Community Portal in under 45 minutes. (Register for it and watch the webinar live) Will created a series of social modules for what was then DotNetNuke Community Edition. His company was purchased by DNN Corporate and his modules were incorporated into the core as of version 6.2, just prior to DNN's launch of the Evoq Content and Evoq Social products. We'll see what's become of those original modules that still are part of the DNN Platform during the webinar and then on Wednesday night during our meeting we'll discuss applications of the technology to the many associations and organizations around the Chicago community.
Phil Wegrzyn recently built some SQL methods and a procedure for seeing what DNN tables had been modified as part of a project where he made some big data conversions. While the data conversion itself was specific to the clients project, the procedure that shows what SQL tables have changed may be quite a nice debugging tool for others. Phil will explain on Wednesday night.
